Recent Skincare Favourites

Taking care of your skin is extremely important if you want to have healthy looking skin and if you want to delay the consequences of ageing such as wrinkles and dryness. The more you look after your skin, the better your appearance will be as you grow older and right now in the present. In this post, I will be talking about some the products that I’ve been using over and over again recently. I am aware that not every product works on all skin types, but if you have the same skin qualities as me, or like to achieve the same results then I really recommend the products that I will be mentioning. Hope you all enjoy!

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

This is my go to product for taking off makeup and for using after I’ve washed my face in the morning. Sometimes cleansing wipes just don’t feel like they’ve done their job properly, but after I go in with a layer of this cleansing water, I feel so refreshed and clean! They have 4 versions of this product: one for sensitive skin, one for dry & sensitive skin, one for combination & sensitive skin and one for combination to oily and sensitive skin. So this product can be used by anyone which is fantastic because it is such an amazing product! For those wondering, I use the combination to oily skin cleansing water because I have combination skin.

Simple – Anti Blemish Moisturiser

I’ve been using this moisturiser so much lately, that it is now running out and I will definitely be repurchasing another one very soon. It claims to leave you with ‘spotless‘ and ‘visibly clearer‘ skin;  these are very brave statements to make, however only one of them is true. My breakouts have been insane lately because I have a bar of chocolate every morning (bad habit, I know) and chocolate breaks me out more than anything else on this planet. By using this moisturiser every morning and night, I have noticed a significant amount of spot scarring disappear from my face. Although it doesn’t get rid of every single spot you have, it definitely reduces the size, redness and soreness of those spots and helps them to go away rather quickly. I think this is due to the product containing chamomile, which is amazing if you’re trying to achieve clear skin (hence why so many people drink chamomile tea).

Simple – Soothing Eye Balm

I never really use any eye cream or any form of treatment for the eyes, but this product seemed intriguing when I saw it in the shelf at superdrug, and I have not regretted buying it since. I apply this every night before I go to sleep and I’ve noticed  good results from it. I used to have really bad under eye bags to the point where it looked swollen, it looked like I hadn’t gotten much sleep and looked like I had been crying for hours. But ever since I’ve used this eye balm, it has made my under eye bags completely disappear! When you first apply it, your under eyes will feel so refreshed and relaxed, and when you wake up it will make your eyes look much more open and healthier overall. This is an amazing product to try out if you suffer from tired looking eyes!

Simple – Illuminating Radiance Cream

Whenever I am going for a luminous makeup look, I always apply this as a primer under my foundation. Although it is just a cream, it still works perfectly as a primer because it contains Glycerin which is what your foundation sticks to in order to last a long time. It gives such a nice dewy look to your skin and makes it appear so much healthier and beautiful. This product can also be used on its own if you’re just after a glowy natural look.

DISCLAIMER: this post is NOT sponsored by Simple. They are, in my opinion, an amazing skincare brand which is why most of my favourite products are from them. Their products are also so affordable and they have never let me down, hence why they’re my go to brand when I’m going skincare shopping.

I hope you all enjoyed this post, please let me know what your favourite skincare products and brands are as I love trying out people’s recommendations!
Love you all, Stef xo
